U.S. Department of Defense Readiness and Environmental Protection Initiative Overview and Updates

Hear about the Readiness and Environmental Protection Initiative (REPI) which is an established mechanism by which the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) partners with outside organizations to protect habitat and land uses that are compatible with the military mission.

Paying Tribute to World War II Veterans with Honor Flights

The Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for their sacrifices, which transports the heroes to Washington, D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to senior veterans, including World War II veterans.  (Note:  World War II veterans who are NCSL National Medal of Civic Honor recipients are encouraged to attend this session and the full Military Task Force meeting.)
